We're looking for someone who takes pride in their job and wants to make Elim a better place to work. As an Instructional Coach at Elim, you'll be required to:

  • Provide observation/feedback for educators related to implementation of instruction according to school/district goals.
  • Provide training to educators on the implementation of approved curriculum, including physical and digital resources.
  • Provide ongoing, targeted observations and feedback aligned with teacher and program administrator determined goals.
  • Provide professional development and ongoing coaching to educators to reach school and district
  • Model and/or co-teach lessons for a specific purpose, targeted skill development/maintenance.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of Exit Skill data, IEP data, and Styer
  • Provides resources and training in techniques and educationally relevant, research-based
  • Provide support and coordination for curricular
  • Assist educators with prioritizing next steps defining and maximizing instructional time related to lesson plans, transition plans, IEP goals, delivery of instruction, and differentiation.
  • Plan and lead Exit Skill/IEP/Styer data analysis in one-on-one meetings with educators, classroom staff and school leaders.
  • Provide feedback on instructional challenges educators may face with student programming, suggesting additional teaching strategies and/or resources as requested by teacher or AP.
  • Assists with the creation of curriculum maps that meet ISBE expectations and align with exit s

  • Attend relevant professional development to maintain knowledge of current best practices and trends related to teaching students with significant autism, developmental disabilities, and physical needs.
  • Meet regularly with Assistant Principals, other instructional coaches, and other service providers to ensure consistency of programming

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 8:15am - 3:15 pm
  • Includes regular school year, 6 week ESY session and 5 extra days

Wages and Benefits:

  • Starting salary of $67,238 
  • More with experience

Education, Licenses and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an education related field
  • Valid Illinois teaching license
  • At least 2 years’ experience as an instructional coach preferred
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with students with moderate/severe developmental disabilities
